Build a DROID!!

4 Things you need to know!

1. This was such a fun experience. I definitely recommend it! One thing to keep in mind when choosing which unit to build: the BB series unit is harder to control than the R series unit. So if your little one is building the droid I would recommend they build the R series unit! and yes this experience is kid friendly! Checkout Disney’s website for more info!
2. Also They recommend making reservations for this experience in advance (up to 180 days), but we were able to just walk right in!
3. This droid is battery powered! The remote takes 2 AAA batteries and the droid itself takes 6 AA batteries.
4. They give you a cardboard carry case for your droid, or you can buy a backpack for extra if you want. Don’t forget if you don’t want to travel home with this item in your luggage you can have it shipped home if you are staying at a Disney Resort! You can also leave the droid with a cast member behind the checkout counter in Droid Depot and they can have it waiting for you at your Disney Resort so that you don’t have to lug it through the park for the rest of the day if you want!
5. Have fun with your droid around Galaxy’s edge as the droid interacts with different areas of the land! If you are carrying it in the backpack or box make sure to have the top of the droid exposed so you can keep an eye on how it interacts with Galaxy’s edge!!
6. Personality chips are available at an extra cost. It changes the pitch of the voice of the droid and changes how they react in different areas of the park! There are three personality options: First Order, Resistance, or Scoundrel. They each come in two colors.
7. Price: It’s $99.99 to build a BB or R unit. You can upgrade with accessories like a Backpack carrying case for $49.99 and a personality chip for $12.99.
