Rainy Day at the Magic Kingdom

Making the best of a rainy day at Disney. Don’t let the rain stop you! It rains so much in Florida that you’ll probably encounter rain on your trip.

Follow these 7 tips to have fun anyways!

  1. The crowds actually thin out A LOT when it rains so as long as you bring your gear you should be set! Make sure you have one or a few of these!
    • Umbrellas
    • Ponchos
    • Rain jackets (shop Disney has some really cute rain jackets right now!!)
    • Stroller ponchos! This is a MUST so you can leave your stroller outside in the stroller parking while your on a ride and it won’t get soaked! There aren’t usually undercover stroller parking areas. You can pickup stroller ponchos at the park by the stroller rental areas!
    • Pack an extra pair of socks, or wear shoes that are water resistant!
    • Pack an extra mask or two!! There’s nothing worse than wearing a wet mask!
    • Wear bathing suits under your clothes and you won’t feel as uncomfortable if you get wet because they will dry faster!
  2. You can actually get on A LOT of rides with little to NO WAIT TIME during the rain so its not the worst thing to happen!
  3. When it stops raining you are already there to enjoy everything before everyone starts heading back to the park! Plus the temperature will be a little cooler which is always a plus in Florida!
  4. Plus seeing a rainbow over the castle just sounds magical!
  5. Take the opportunity to have a sit down meal or in park character meal when it rains.
  6. Even do a little souvenir shopping.
  7. There’s so much to do even in the rain. So don’t let that ruin your day! You are in the happiest place on earth after all.
